Favorite Things Friday

{images via 1 // 2 }

If there is one thing I can't get enough of lately it's silk. I have been craving a simplicity in my dressing and silk seems to fulfill those simplicity needs. I've done a bit of research and here are a few favorites.

Grana - Amazing selection and even better price points. I want this tank in every color.

Everlane- This dress has rocked my world.

Joe Fresh - I snatched up a few of these button downs and so far I'm really impressed with the quality. I now have my eye on this tunic also on sale.

Equipment- Although a little pricier then my first few options I would love to invest in one of their slim signature shirts in a neutral. Something I don't doubt I would have forever.

J.Crew - These tanks are buttery soft and I love the racer-back detail.

Crisp Blue Button Down

On what seems to be a never ending list of "must haves" I deem the crisp blue button down as an essential to add to your closet this Fall. Think of it as a go with everything staple and can take over when your chambray is in the laundry. I've spotted a few already and I can't wait to get my hands on one.

The styling is pretty simple in these lovely street style photo's but just the other day I spotted a gal rocking her button down with an army green vest and a pleated midi skirt! I promptly bought this Madewell over-sized vest to try and recreate the look!

Anniversary Getaway {Lifestyle}

I hope you all had a great week last week. P and I just got back from our annual weeklong anniversary getaway to the cabin. We had such a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying the beautiful creation, going on hikes, eating good food, exploring the lake, and just being together. I'm so thankful for my husband and best friend! Our dear friends came up for the weekend and it was so special spending time with them too. There's something pretty wonderful about cabin time shared with those you love.

shop girl | denim midi skirt

Fall is on my mind as the first glimpse of new arrivals filter into store fronts. I could not be more excited about the 70’s vibe of classic yet still on trend pieces. I’m pretty smitten with this midi denim skirt from Madewell and couldn’t resist pairing it with clogs! These items are on the top of my list for Fall must haves. I’m also craving a pair of flares! The wider the better here are a few of my top picks – Madewell, TargetStyle, H&M, 7FAM.

Stripes // Stripes

I hope you all are having a great week. L is here in Minnesota and my husband and I have been celebrating our birthdays, so please excuse the lack of posts lately :) Life has just been so special and a good sort of busy! Today's look is a favorite of mine for exploring the farmers' market on the weekend, meeting a friend for coffee, or simply for running errands. And each item is a closet staple for me and items I gravitate towards so often - you can't go wrong with stripes, chinos, and birks. I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Favorite Things

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have had a wonderful week and are getting excited for the weekend, I know I sure am. I saw this framed leaf DIY on Cupcakes and Cashmere yesterday and think it is a genius idea! A fun, pretty easy, reasonably priced DIY, perfect for a Saturday morning or afternoon. Have a great weekend everyone!

Mixed Berry Scones {Food + Drink}

I know that I have said this many times before, but Cooks Country is honestly the best! The recipes are tried and true and never steer me wrong. I just got my August/September issue and have already fallen in love with these mixed berry scones. The thing that I love the most is that they are super easy to make and the recipe calls for frozen mixed berries, which is so convenient, regardless if berries are in season or not. And they can be made ahead and can be frozen for up to a couple weeks, perfect treats to pop in the oven on Saturday mornings. Next time I plan to try them with fresh peaches! Have a wonderful day everyone.
