Day 20 'Fall Essentials Challenge'

It is hard to believe that this is our last couple days of our Fall Essentials Challenge. I have loved re-mixing and re-thinking things in my closet, and I encourage you all to do the same! It is so easy to want to go out and get something new, but there is much inspiration to be found in our very own closets! I love today's combo of a mini-skirt with a quilted jacket and booties - perfect for these warmer fall days! Blessings to you all today!

Day 17 'Fall Essentials Challenge'

The colors here in Minnesota have been the most beautiful I can ever remember, which has called for extra long walks and runs lately! It has been an awesome fall and we are enjoying every minute of it. Our closet challenge has really caused me to re-think the clothes in my closet and to mix and match in new and innovative ways. Thinking up new combos has been so fun! I urge you to take a step back this week and think about how you can make new outfits with what you already have in your closet!

Day 15 'Fall Essentials Challenge'

The weather has been beautiful here in Minnesota. P and I have been enjoying long runs along the river and afternoons relaxing in the sun (very unlike typical Minnesota Octobers). I love today's pairing - a plaid shirt with a simple black work dress. The plaid adds a little something to an otherwise simple look. 

It was so fun to shoot with my sister-in-law Colleen. She is a talented photographer and I got spoiled with her nice camera! Happy Tuesday everyone!

Day 12 'Fall Essentials Challenge'

I love the deep, warm hues of fall - mustard, wine, navy, forest green. This skirt has been in my closet for years but is a still a fun basic I reach for often during the cooler months. I love it paired with this oversized sweater . The proportions of the big sweater on top fits perfectly with the more form fitting pencil skirt on the bottom. Happy Thursday everyone!

Day 7 'Fall Essentials Challenge'

This is one of my favorite coats because of the beautiful colors and floral pattern. It immediately adds something special to any outfit and has become a go-to staple in my wardrobe. I love finding bold, fun coats because they add so much pop during those colder, somewhat dreary fall and spring days. And L and I have learned that so often your coat can be that first impression (especially when you live in MN and it feels like all you wear are coats), so it is important to invest in ones that you love and showcase your personality!

Day 5 'Fall Essentials Challenge'

I have been loving our Fall Essentials Challenge because I have been forced to re-think pieces in my wardrobe and get creative about how to piece things together in new ways. I love the juxtaposition between this work dress, and the ease of the sweater and booties. A new favorite look for fall! I think L would agree with me that a great black work dress, and an oversized cardigan are great staple pieces to have in your wardrobe to mix-and-match with what you already have!
