Holiday Hustle

I don’t know about you but I’m exhausted from all the holiday sales! Although, I can never resist browsing  J.  Crew’s stock of sale items- no matter how tiring it is… heheJ. I love this look for a post-holiday get together for all those ‘holiday’ parties that happen in January.

The best part, the entire look is on sale the coat, sweater, and shoes are an additional 40% off the lowest marked price and the denim and handbag are an additional 30% the regular marked price. I think the winner in this group is that emerald number, and for about $168 (after discounts) I think it’s something to consider especially if you are wondering what to use your J. Crew gift cards on!

Throughout the hustle and bustle it's important to remember the real reason for the season; Christ's birth.

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for ALL the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."
Luke 2: 8-15

Many Blessings this Christmas Season,

Ballerina Midi-Skirt

I have been in love with tulle midi-skirts for quite awhile now, and finally took the plunge. Midi-skirts are so chic and the tulle adds a fun element for the holidays. I love this one from Anthropologie  (20% off your purchase) because of its simplicity and the ability to pair just about anything with it. I have worn it with a flannel, a stylish sweatshirt, and a blazer - the options really are endless. Merry Christmas everyone!

Winter Whites

The count down is officially on, I hope you are all ready for Christmas! I wore this look to the Nutcracker this past weekend. The white embellished skirt was actually a clearance find I found last month at a small boutique. Although, its from J.O.A's Summer line I thought it could easily work as a holiday skirt. Pairing it with a soft grey merino turtle neck and nude pumps (another clearance find via Nordstrom - 60% off!) help winter it up a little. I think this is one of my favorite holiday looks yet!

Christmas Tartan

Happy Holidays! I hope you had great weekend.

During the month of December I'm continually drawn to tartans, the color red and lots of sequins! I love the way a simple button down with a pair of jeans can look festive by just throwing on a necklace. I also cannot get enough of these ruffle socks- they bring me back to my elementary school days when I had a strict only ruffle sock policy! I'm so crazy about them I might invest in some more colors or even try these wool ones.

Tis' The Season

I love dressing for the holidays, whether it's for a party, dinner out with friends, or a simple workday. This outfit combines some of my favorites - sparkle, red lips, and heels. When thinking about how to dress this holiday season focus on how to mix-and-match old favorites with newer finds. Don't be scared to add in that sparkle or pop of red. After all, it is the most wonderful time of the year!

Old Fashion Christmas

Happy Holiday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend- mine was spent relaxing, baking and wrapping presents.

A midi skirt screams holiday party wear if you ask me! I love wearing a big ballgown its so wonderfully fancy. Pairing the skirt with a tartan button down balances out the big ballgown skirt. This look is perfect for Christmas Eve festivities or a Holiday work event.
