Seersucker

It's that time of year when I get to pull out my trusty seersucker trousers! I've been holding onto this wide leg version circa 2007 from J.Crew because whenever I'm having a 'I have nothing to wear day' these pants are just the trick. Any seasonal wardrobe staple you get excited to pull out year after year?

Denim on Denim

Happy Monday!

I find that when I'm lacking the inspiration to put together an outfit (this seems to happen a lot on the weekends) I gravitate towards my tried and true denim pieces. I've sourced quit the collection and continually look for pieces to add as I know they are work horses in my wardrobe. This weekend was denim packed! I typically never pair my denim jacket with denim jeans but it just felt so right. Since the washes are completely different, it helped make the look work. What are some of your tried and true wardrobe pieces? Any denim favorites?

White + Stripes

I've decided you can never have too many stripes in your wardrobe. I never pass up the opportunity to add this classic to my closet because although, I maybe have one too many in navy and white I never fail to wear them at least twice a week. They are the most practical staple! I will note I tend to gravitate towards the ultra classic colors - navy + white, red + white, black + white. I'm dreaming of this tee as my next stripe purchase it would be perfect for summer.... any closet staples you let yourself have multiple of because of the wear they endure?

Spring has Sprung

Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend. This was the look I wore to church and  out to brunch. Although, it was a little cool I still managed with open toe shoes and a dress. It was Easter after all so dresses and pastels were a must! I recently picked up this classic white shirt dress at the LOFT (scoring it at 50% off) the simplicity of it is perfect for mixing and matching. I plan on living in it this summer whether to work or more casually on the weekends it's perfect 'classic' to add to my streamlined wardrobe.

Pink

Spring is on my mind, especially after a few nice days, I practically convince myself its summer. I've held onto this spring topper coat to help transition from season to season. It's a lifesaver when attending early spring weddings and a perfect add on to a lightweight sweater or long sleeve tee. The cheerful color also helps brighten things up!

Orange + Pink

Happy Monday! B and I are still in MN soaking up the sun... and slightly cooler weather. Just popping in to say a quick hello. I'm so tired of dressing in grey, black and white so I thought it would be fun to break out some brights!

Crop + Maxi

It's that time of year when I start getting really sick and tired of my 'winter' wardrobe. Anyone with me? My clothes feel tired. At the same time I don't want to purchase more cold weather items as I'm starting to save up for Spring essentials. In order to mix things up I pulled out a summer favorite and remixed it for the current 50 degree weather we are having in Seattle. By incorporating a cropped sweater {adding extra warmth} my trusty jean jacket and booties this otherwise summer maxi became a great transitional piece.
