Crisp Blue Button Down

On what seems to be a never ending list of "must haves" I deem the crisp blue button down as an essential to add to your closet this Fall. Think of it as a go with everything staple and can take over when your chambray is in the laundry. I've spotted a few already and I can't wait to get my hands on one.

The styling is pretty simple in these lovely street style photo's but just the other day I spotted a gal rocking her button down with an army green vest and a pleated midi skirt! I promptly bought this Madewell over-sized vest to try and recreate the look!

shop girl | denim midi skirt

Fall is on my mind as the first glimpse of new arrivals filter into store fronts. I could not be more excited about the 70’s vibe of classic yet still on trend pieces. I’m pretty smitten with this midi denim skirt from Madewell and couldn’t resist pairing it with clogs! These items are on the top of my list for Fall must haves. I’m also craving a pair of flares! The wider the better here are a few of my top picks – Madewell, TargetStyle, H&M, 7FAM.

Luxe List

I love browsing Instagram for new brands and discovering best kept secrets. I recently stumbled across one of Carin Olsson author of Paris in four Months Instagram picture and could not take my eyes off her beautiful flats. Because Instagram lets you link other users in photo's it was easy to find the brand. Thus I discovered the beauty of Josefinas. Read more about all about how Josefinas was started and don't miss out on the video posted below! I'm thoroughly obsessed with the pair pictured above and will be saving my pennies for them. These are a worthy investment piece in my book!

Casual Lace

I am loving the hot weather, it finally feels like true summer here in Minnesota. I was inspired to wear one of my many summer cocktail dresses that I have accumulated over the past couple years due to the many weddings we have had :) So even though I may not have as many reasons to dress up this summer, I still want to wear all of my dresses. So I combined a casual jean jacket, flat sandals, and an everyday handbag. It's an easy look, perfect for a coffee date or happy hour. "Cas" down those dresses ladies for extra use in your wardrobe :)

Palms + Stripes

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend, Brendan and I have been busy getting ready for our MN vacation. Next week we get to meet out new nephew Connor for the fist time! I will definitely be packing these incredibly comfortable palm pants from TB, sadly they are no longer available online but you may have some luck store side! They are perfectly on trend with their wide leg silhouette and the print is tres chic!

Linen

Happy Monday! Hope you had a wonderful 4th!
I've been drawn to linen this summer, the fabric is breathable and light and with the high temps we have been having in Seattle it has been perfect. I'm still able to feel put together without overheating! This dress is a complete steal now an additional 60%. I'm also loving this linen number from H&M. Do you have any fabrics you gravitate too in the summer months?

shop girl | fringe benefits

I've been taking a liking to fringe as of late, it feels boho chic in a very effortless sort of way. The  fringe really speaks for itself. In addition to the beautiful K.slademade clutch I've also got my eye on this Sam Edelman and Rebecca Minkoff. I've also noticed this trend in some beautiful sweaters like this Madewell one, and Ulla Johnon number.

Red, White & Blue

This summer is flashing before my eyes! I cannot believe the 4th of July is this Saturday - anyone else feel their summer disappearing?

I'm sharing a festive look in honor of the 4th, who doesn't love a little red, white, and blue around this time of year. I just picked up these linen shorts from J.Crew and love how comfortable they are. I'm not a huge fan of shorts but when I do buy them I look for light weight materials and elastic waists;).  Have a lovely 4th!

White Tee

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend!

Looking for a casual weekend look? White on white with a little pop of color is easy yet still chic. To add to the ease of this look I paired it with my go to Converse. I'm focusing on adding core staples to my wardrobe - a pair of white denim, a white teem and converse are key. Do you have any wardrobe staples you can't live without this summer?

Favorite Things Friday

Have you seen the women's line from Hanna Andersson? I stumbled upon it through Brittany's blog 'The House that Lars Built.' She styled the pieces beautifully and I was shocked to find that everything she was wearing was Hanna Andersson. I was a huge fan of the brand when I was younger (or my mom was a huge fan of dressing me in Hanna) so I was thrilled to see such cute staples for women. I thought I would share the love and pass on these fun basics for summer. My favorites are the stripped shirt dress and the chambray jumpsuit! I can see myself living in those pieces this summer.
