Palms + Stripes

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend, Brendan and I have been busy getting ready for our MN vacation. Next week we get to meet out new nephew Connor for the fist time! I will definitely be packing these incredibly comfortable palm pants from TB, sadly they are no longer available online but you may have some luck store side! They are perfectly on trend with their wide leg silhouette and the print is tres chic!

Clog Girl

Thank goodness for daylight savings! I love this time of year! The days start feeling longer and I'm instantly motivated to do more after work!

I love the fresh feel of this look and it combines some of my all time favorite pieces. Stripes are my best friend, If you are having one of those 'nothing to wear' days throw on your stripe tee with some fun lipstick and your will look instantly put together. The newest item I added to my wardrobe is my Sven clogs. I have been saving for a pair and finally was able to pull the trigger while home in MN.(the Sven Outlet is in Chisago City, MN) It's so fun to invest in something I know I will have forever! Next time you are out shopping, challenge yourself with each purchase thinking about the longevity of the item. I promise you will significantly decrease your 'what was I thinking' purchases.

White on White

Happy Monday! B and I fly back to Seattle today after a fun filled weekend in MN. We had a wonderful time celebrating B's sisters wedding and also enjoyed some quality time with our friends and family.

MN summer weather can be warm, I'm talking hot and humid so in order to beat the heat I packed a variety of lightweight dresses. This linen number was able to keep me cool while outside but the long sleeves were nice for indoor air conditioning. White linen is a summer staple in my book whether its linen pants, tunics or dresses they are perfect for staying comfortable in the summer.

Summer Florals

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! My weekend was spent running errands and of course getting our place in order- we still have a long way to go but we finally can walk though it without tripping over things.

I'm sharing another easy summer dress today, its literally all I wear these days because of the weather. I cannot complain- we are having a gorgeous summer but on those really hot days this is all I want to be wearing. What's you summer go to staple?

Floral & Stripes

Happy Monday! Its so good to be back, B and I have been in our new place for a little over a week and we are in love. Its an adorable little duplex with lots of character- I will be sharing some fun snaps on Instagram as we work on getting everything in order.

Easy breezy dresses have been a theme of mine this summer and this colorful maxi fits the bill. Its extremely light weight and has a perfectly placed slit on one side of the dress which I can really appreciate in a maxi (without a slit sometimes even cotton maxis can get steamy in the heat). This piece is perfect for a day at the office but I'm also planning on dressing it up a bit for an upcoming rehearsal dinner- I will ditch the denim jacket and pair it with a cute clutch.

Breezy Palms

Happy Monday my Friends! I hope you enjoyed your extra long weekend, I sure did. I love the beauty of a long weekend, even just adding one day makes the weekend feel like it goes on forever.

I'm excited to share this carefree, easy breezy, shirt dress with you. I was drawn to the tie dye print only later discovering the the print was actually palm tress's- even better! Its been a go to on hot summer days, pairing it with fun summer sandals and an over sized tote. I've even been able to dress this piece up with a pair of black wedges and a clutch- perfect for a hot summer night!

Do you have a easy summer dress you gravitate to when it gets balmy? Something that can easily transition from day to night? I have my eyes on a few that look like they could beat the heat. Check them out here and here

Pineapple

Happy Monday Everyone!

I've been dying over this pineapple top I found at the adorable Queen Anne Dispatch- a local boutique in Seattle (see link below to buy online). I not only love the print and the price of the top (under $50) but the back is what ultimately sold me. The split back detail of this shirt creates an effortlessly feminine feel. It can easily be worn with little fuss - I love throwing it on with a pair of pants and some fun sandals for a carefree summer look.
