Fall Cooking Inspiration {Food}

Fall is my favorite season to cook! From the rich and savory crock pot meals to the warm, crumbly apple crisp, the comfort food is delicious and it always hits the spot after a day at work or a day adventuring at the apple orchard. Playing Favorites

I don't know about you, but I have been pleasantly surprised by the number of attractive handbags this fall. I'm also thoroughly impressed by the use of color clearly displayed in each designers collection. I have compiled a list of my favorites for fall above, I especially love this little red number {on SALE} and this buttery tan bucket bag has officially reached the top of my Christmas list. Weeknight Look

By the time I get home from work, I am ready to dive into my leggings and big BU sweatshirt. But often times that is not an option and I actually need to look put together due to the fact that we have things in the evenings :) This is one of my go-to looks for the weeknights, balancing a comfortable pair of skinny jeans with a fitted sweatshirt and flats. I believe it is essential to have chic yet comfortable options for evening and weekend wear! I hope you all are enjoying this beautiful MN weather as much as I am!

Audrey Inspired

 

We had another perfect weekend in the Pacific Northwest, September is turning out to be pretty spectacular weather wise. With the weather slowly changing to cooler temps I'm inspired by classic neutrals and comfy basics. I'm in love with the endless shirt from J. Crew (last seen here) to dress it down, I paired it with these simple back leggings. I was totally channeling Audrey Hepburn and her classic - sophisticated style. That lady was able to make anything look effortlessly chic! Don't you agree?

Favorite Things Friday

Happy Friday everyone! My favorite store of all time is J.Crew...without a doubt. While I love Anthropologie for more eccentric pieces, and Nordstrom and Shopbop for accessories and designer investment pieces, J.Crew has always been and will always be my store of choice! The basics are timeless, chic, and fashion forward. I can't even count how many pieces I have from years ago that are still some of favorite things in my wardrobe. The frequent sales and teacher discount are also bonuses :) Today I am showcasing my favorites from J.Crew for fall (I am all about warmth and comfort). Hope you enjoy your weekend! Sweater Weather

The fall has come quickly here in Minnesota, with temps topping out in the 50s and 60s during the day (brrr)! Because of that I have brought my sweaters, boots, and wool pants out sooner than normal. But it feels absolutely wonderful to cuddle up in some of my favorites. This sweater from J.Crew is a newer purchase and I love it (I got it on promo, plus my teacher discount). It is cotton and a neutral, so I know it will get so much use in my closet. What is your fall go to favorite?

Beach Camping {Lifestyle}

Last weekend B and I had the opportunity to go 'beach camping' on the Oregon Coast. It was only my third time camping and this experience sold me! As you can see from the pictures we had a very foggy day on Saturday - this didn't stop us from setting up shop at the beach wishing, hoping, and praying that the sun would come out from behind all the clouds and flog! Although, we saw no sun on Saturday on our drive back to Seattle we had a lovely time visiting the adorable coastal town of Cannon Beach- and were lucky enough to get a sunny beach day - even if it was only for a few hours.
