My favorite summer trend has to be the off the shoulder top/dress. This dress from Zara is one of my favorites, I'm loving this adorable eyelet top. Do you have any favorite trends this summer? I'm also gravitating towards sky blue as it warms up.. can you tell?!

Summer Weekend

P and I had such an amazing weekend relaxing and attending the weddings of some of our dear friends. It is so special to watch friends you have known for years make a lifelong covenant to each other; it's a beautiful thing. Today's look is perfect for a simple, laid back weekend. I love this hat because it allows me to stretch my days between hair washings, which is always nice in the summer. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Favorite Things Friday

The Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale is on with great deals on spring and summer clothes, shoes, and handbags. I have picked out a few of my favorite pieces here - I especially love the striped dress! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend. P and I can't wait for it to begin because we are attending two weddings of some of our dearest friends and we can't wait to celebrate with them!

Spring Cabin Getaway {Lifestyle}

Last weekend P and I headed north with my parents to get our cabin ready for summer. We tried the new Voyageur Brewing Company in Grand Marais on our way up the trail on Friday night and absolutely loved it. Saturday was a gorgeous day, so we laid on the dock reading, relaxing, and enjoying being together - my favorite things about the cabin. We made some delicious pomegranate mojitos and corn on the grill for dinner (recipes coming soon to the blog). On Sunday we hit up our favorite Sydney's Custard for my favorite ice cream treat - a raspberry and heath sydnami :) I cannot wait for summer, which for me starts today! Have a great day everyone.

Mango Salsa {Food}

Hope everyone is having a great week! Friday can't come soon enough, I'm taking a half day plus my little sis and her boyfriend will be in town for the weekend! 

I'm excited to share this mango salsa with you today. Ever since Brendan and I started Whole30 we have been challenged to find 'fun' food that fit the list of 'can have' items. Early on we discovered 'just mango' from Trader Joe's and fell in love with the natural sweetness of the fruit. So naturally I looked up a few recipes with mango in them and here we are. In my search I not only found a fantastic salsa recipe but also found a great food blog Cookie + Kate. We served the salsa over chicken and boy did that jazz things up!

Spring Plaid

P and I had a fantastic weekend up north at the cabin - relaxing, sleeping, and cooking with my parents. It was the perfect way to launch by last week of teaching for this school year. It is so hard to believe I am finishing up my fourth year of teaching. I am incredibly thankful for my job and humbled by the amazing kiddos I get to hang out with each day. My heart is full!

White Tee

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend!

Looking for a casual weekend look? White on white with a little pop of color is easy yet still chic. To add to the ease of this look I paired it with my go to Converse.
