L and I have been really trying to focus on revamping things in our wardrobe and really focusing on buying essentials that we love and will continue to love from season to season, and year to year. This skirt is a newer purchase for me and I can't get enough of it. I love the comfy vibe and the detailing along the seaming on the sides, plus it's white, which is so fun for these warmer days. Revamp

It's hard to believe that March is coming to an end! I'm thrilled to be well into warmer days and a little closer to our Hawaiian vacation in April!

Ever since the start of this year, I'v been making a conscious effort to invest in pieces that are multi-functional. I've also been pairing down my closet in order to stream-line and wear everything I have. This hot pink dress worn as a skit was an item I bought years ago, I've held onto it because the silhouette is timeless and I love the hot pink hue. I last wore it to a friends wedding almost 4 years ago so in order to keep its place in my closet I decided it was time to revamp it. I took a style cue from Jess and threw a sweater over it. Voila, a new and improved way to wear a dressier silk dress! When it's really warm out a cotton sweater with some sandals would work just as well.

Spring Pastels

I am so excited to be back posting on A&L. P and I had an amazing time in the British Virgin Islands sailing, exploring, and just enjoying each other (post with photos coming soon). But I do have to admit the transition back has been hard and I always get so sentimental upon returning from vacations :) But spring is in the air, even amidst the snow, and I am looking forward to the weeks ahead. This look is a perfect look for a more casual day at work or going out for dinner on the weekends. There is just something about wearing pastels in the spring!

White Dress Favorites

Ever since finding this beautiful white number I've been on the hunt for the perfect white dress. I'm naturally looking for one at a more reasonable price point. I fell in love with this classic shirt dress but I'm so smitten for this eyelet number with the navy flower details! My favorite part about these lovely dresses is they are all 100% cotton. If you are working with a budget (aren't we all!) make sure to check the composition of the garment you're eyeing. A natural fiber typically looks more expensive and is more likely to stay intact for multiple seasons. Happy shopping and happy spring time.

Sunshine Yellow

Happy Spring! 

I hope you had a great weekend! B and I took it easy this weekend and were lucky enough to get a sunny Saturday so we could try out our new grill! I also tackled a much needed closet clean out - I love sorting through my clothes each season. It's helpful to remember forgotten items and helps to visualize holes in your wardrobe. I pulled out this sunny number in honor of the first weekend of spring. The long sleeves make it the perfect transition piece.

Pink

Spring is on my mind, especially after a few nice days, I practically convince myself its summer. I've held onto this spring topper coat to help transition from season to season. It's a lifesaver when attending early spring weddings and a perfect add on to a lightweight sweater or long sleeve tee. The cheerful color also helps brighten things up!
