Craving Coats

Happy Monday! As the days start to get shorter, darker, and as the temps get cooler its got me thinking about transitioning into heavier coats. I've narrowed down my top choices based on color/print.

 Every season I'm always drawn to J. Crew's selection of timeless outerwear. I've fallen in love with this collarless coat and I'm crazy about the cocoon silhouette that comes in the most beautiful color palette. I also can't get enough of this printed coat and the price doesn't hurt either! Don't miss out on Piperlime's amazing selection as well, they have some pretty pieces at great price points like this neutral coat, and to die for leopard print number.  I'm also loving this patterned pastel coat and color block piece from their line-up.

Favorite Things Friday

Finding a nice set of sheets is a difficult task. It seems they are either too expensive or not soft, pilly or uncomfortable. The sheets P and I got from our wedding registry are not our favorite, so I recently went on a hunt to find new sheets. The sheets at West Elm are by far by absolute favorite! They are incredibly soft, do not pill, come in fun prints, and are at a great price point (they are consistently on sale). If you are looking for new sheets, give these a try! Happy Friday everyone!

Blue // Black

I have become a fan of dark navy blue paired with black. I think it provides a subtle contrast and a warmer option than all black. This DVF lace pencil skirt is a new favorite and was a snag from the Nordstrom sale earlier this summer. I love it paired simply this way, or with a oversized sweater and booties. It is a beautiful statement piece for all seasons. I love when I can invest in something that is timeless, chic, and muti-seasonal.

Birthday Girl

We snapped these shots right after my birthday dinner at Westward on South Lake Union. Needless to say if you live in Seattle you must check it out, the ambiance and food are spectacular. I usually opt for a more feminine look on my birthday but could not wait to wear this adorable graphic tee from Old Navy! I love the simplicity of it and pairing it with my leather jacket seemed to suit the look. I'm also pretty crazy about these neon sandals I scored at Old Navy for $6, they may only last a season but they do the job in adding a little extra pep to my step.

Fall Cabin Getaway {Lifestyle}

P and I went up north to the cabin for a quick getaway this past weekend. We spent our time relaxing by the fire, hiking through the woods, enjoying the fall color, and cooking some delicious meals (recipes coming soon). P also hunted with Otto and got two grouse :) It is always great to refresh and rejuvenate our soul by being in the Lord's creation. Hope you all are able to enjoy this fall too! Blessings on your Tuesday!

Fashion Rocks

Happy Monday! I hope you had a fabulous weekend.

This weekend I attend the 3rd annual Seattle Rocks the Runway event. The show was spectacular, it was packed with beautiful fall fashion from various retailers throughout the Seattle area. I wore this white Trina Turk dress via Rent the Runway to the event, I initially rented from them for my sister-in-laws wedding and opted for the PRO account. One of the benefits of a PRO account is receiving a $50 birthday credit- I was able to use this credit on my dress paying just $10 for it! The dress was perfect for the event, in fact I wish I could have kept this one- that's the one downside of renting... they all must go back.
